New Year's Resolutions? Set an intention instead.

Goodbye, 2020. Hello 2021!

I don't know about you, but I found my list of 2020 resolutions, and had a pretty good laugh over them. On my list:

  • host 18 dinner parties (got 4 in before the shut down!)
  • game night with friends once a month
  • read 20 books
  • visit my grandpas over the summer (nope!)
  • take more barre classes (a thousand nopes!)

…and the best one: Work on being ok with uncertainty. Ha!

Actually, if there is one resolution that I did actually move closer towards, it was this last one. 2020 taught me to lean into uncertainty; I got to practice this intention daily! As a person who has struggled with anxiety, this has brought me a lot of peace and gratitude this past year.

So, rather than setting a bunch of goals to check off, I am going to set an intention for 2021. For me, it is to BE PRESENT. I want to get better at being present right here in this very moment, and to enjoy what is before me.
